The search for a missing Washington man has reached Dundee after his car was spotted in the area.
Adrian Lee was last seen on Monday, January 2, after he left his home in Chipchase in Oxclose.
The 58-year-old’s car - a blue Toyota Aygo registration AJ60 LTU - was later seen on Monday afternoon on CCTV on the Forth Bridge in Scotland.
The car was seen crossing the bridge which spans from Edinburgh to Fife on Monday, but has now been seen in Dundee.
Police say Adrian’s family are becoming increasingly concerned and want to hear he is safe and well.
Adrian is described as 6ft with a shaved head and dark goatee beard.
He was wearing black lace up shoes, a black sweatshirt and a black Harley Davidson jacket when he left home.
Police are continuing their investigation and believe that Adrian is driving the Toyota Aygo in Scotland.
Chief Inspector Jerry Pearson, of Northumbria Police , said: “Understandably Adrian’s family are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare and we are keen to find to him so that we and they can be reassured he is safe and well.
“We’re carrying out extensive inquiries and as a result of our inquiries believe he may be in Scotland. His car, which we believe he is in, was sighted on CCTV on the Forth Bridge on Monday afternoon and we are asking anyone who has seen Adrian or his vehicle to please get in contact with us.”
Adrian, or anyone who has seen him or his vehicle, is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101 quoting reference 271 030117.
Anyone phoning outside of the Northumbria Police area should be asked to be put through to Northumbria Police when prompted when phoning 101.
